Portuguese Rotax Champions hit the stage in Portimao

The fifth and final round of the Rotax MAX Challenge Portugal took place at the Karting Circuit of Portimao over the weekend of October 21-23. This year, the national federation FPAK had granted championship status to the series in recognition of the Portuguese Rotax Champions for 2022.

With very encouraging local attendance for the closing edition, the grids were boosted by around the same number of international competitors, bringing the number of entries to just over 150 in total.
The RMC Grand Finals is less than a month away now and this was the ideal chance for many drivers to test at the popular Algarve venue in the lead-up to the end of season highlight for Rotax racing. The typical seasonal weather along the beautiful Atlantic coastline kept the mechanics busy too. In addition to the RMC, the new sensation Rotax E20 made its debut at the FPAK Electric Karting Cup in collaboration with event organiser Korridas, who are the designated Rotax Distributor in Portugal.
