The finals showdown at the legendary home of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France provided the competitors with an extra special location to contest the six Rotax class titles at the Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy 2022 over the weekend.
Thirteen races in total completed the last day of competition at the International Karting Circuit of Le Mans to crown the RMCIT champions. The adrenaline was pumping under the hot summer sun as the heads went down and the elbows came out in the race for the top step of the podium Saturday. A depth of talent brought together from five continents and nearly 40 nations kept the race fans, both on track and via the livestream, anticipating the excitement of the outcome – right up until the very last moment. It was all about the ultimate victory at Le Mans for the drivers themselves, but the rewards were exceptional too.
‘The adventure starts now’ for the lucky winners of the Can-Am DS 90 ATV courtesy of BRP-Rotax:
Micro MAX – Senn Lindeman (NLD)
Mini MAX – Paul Schoen (CHE)
Four RMCGF 2022 tickets were awarded to the Final A winners who are on their way to Portimao:
Junior MAX – Leon Zelenko (HRV)
Senior MAX – Nolan Lemeray (FRA)
DD2 – Paolo Besancenez (FRA)
DD2 Masters – Vivien Cussac-Picot (FRA)
The second prize pool was filled with brand new Rotax 125 MAX evo engines for the vice champions, while third prize for every class was a Rotax voucher to the value of €1000. Chloé Cannard in Senior MAX came through the field to take 18 positions on the way up the order, but her smile got even bigger with her new BRP-Rotax Can-Am Ryker to be ‘hitting the streets in style’. Bell helmets also came to the after race party to protect three more of the world’s best athletes in karting as well.
RMCIT organisers 3MK Events ensured the images of the RMCIT were beamed around the globe and the social media channels lit up with the racing highlights live from Le Mans across the weekend. Be sure to check out all the track action and the celebrations at https://rmcit.3mkevents.com/en/
