The Russian driver who won the first round of the OK European Championship at Portimao has been disqualified from the final classification and from the Championship standings.
Scrolling through the official classifications on the FIA Karting website and as we approach the new chapter in Zuera, we can see that Artem Severukhin has been disqualified from any finishing order (including heats) and from the overall scores, in practice from the event. Severukhin is also not on the Championship entry list, especially after the revocation of his ACI licence.
A decision probably taken by the FIA after last Thursday's ruling, which at this point changes the fate of the OK Senior European Championship. With the ouster of Severiukhin it is Joe Turney who becomes the overall leader, followed by Oscar Pedersen and Evan Giltaire, while Kean Nakamura-Berta rises to third place at Portimao.
We would like to point out (with disappointment) that Severiukhin's exclusion from the classification was not announced by the Federation, nor were the official decisions.
