Also the penultimate round of the Super Master Series ends with the victories of Joe Turney (OK), Oleksandr Bondarev (OKJ) and Jindrich Pesl (60 Mini).
OK - Turney makes it three out of three for Tony Kart
The Englishman carries on the great start of the season for the house of Prevalle. Third consecutive victory in OK Senior, one win each for the trio composed of Coluccio, Taponen and Turney. The latter unlocked his season by giving himself the first victory of 2022 at the end of a long battle with Kean Nakamura-Berta. The Japanese driver, who started from pole position, did his best to keep the British driver behind, until the winning manoeuvre six laps from the finish. Surgical overtaking for Turney, valid for the stage victory. With Nakamura firmly in second place, space to the fight for third position began with Cristian Bertuca, excellent in the early stages, then overtaken by Freddie Slater. The OKJ European Champion thus found a useful placing, fourth place for Oscar Pedersen and fifth for Rashid Al Dhaheri.
OKJ - Splendid Bondarev
Olekesandr Bondarev has created a vacuum in the OKJ final at La Conca. Simply perfect the race of the Ukrainian driver, who took the lead after a few laps and was literally unreachable for everyone. The nine second lead over the first of the rivals gives an idea of the state of form of the RFM driver, visibly moved on the podium, wrapped in the Ukrainian flag.
Podium completed by the pole man Douwe Dedecker, good at confirming his consistency, third place inherited by Kirill Dzitiev after the 5sec penalty for the spoiler inflicted on Dmitry Matveev, third under the checkered flag and relegated to fourth. Maciej Gladysz was also in the top five after his win seven days ago.
60 Mini - Pesl is back
Another success for the new strong name in 60 Mini. Jindrich Pesl did not miss the maturity test on a circuit like La Conca, recovering two positions and winning alone. Second Iacopo Martinese and third Christian Costoya, nothing to do for Dries Van Langendonck started in pole and fourth at the finish, fifth Filippo Sala.
