F4 and F.Regional UAE - Leclerc and Wurz celebrate the title

- From Kart to F1
The fifth round in Abu Dhabi brings the Asian series to an end by awarding the titles to Charlie Wurz in Formula 4 and Arthur Leclerc in Formula Regional.

F4 UAE
A very open weekend and a finale with a bang, these are the characteristics of the last round scheduled on the Abu Dhabi circuit for F4. Five intense rounds with a continuous succession of new performers who, in all likelihood, will also animate the rest of the season when the fights for the national titles come to a head.
Spectacle, as always, starting on Friday with the double win of Rafael Camara (Prema Racing), no longer a "rookie" but a confirmation of this first part of the season. The Brazilian won Race 1 at the start, getting off to a better start than the competition and setting his own pace right up to the chequered flag, followed by Nikita Bedrin and Aiden Neante. Almost identical in Race 2 with Camara who, this time, took advantage of a post-Safety Car restart to surprise Bedrin and steal the first position and the victory, third again Neante.
After Friday, everything happens on Saturday with the fourth race decisive for the award of the title. Despite the pole position and the glimmer of a hat-trick that would have kept the fight for the final success open, Rafael Camara did not succeed. Not a perfect start for the FDA driver, who was immediately overtaken by Alex Dunne (Hitech Gp) and also by his teammate Charlie Wurz (Prema Racing), the man to beat in the standings and Camara's direct rival. Dunne kept the leadership without problems until the end, bringing behind a Wurz in total control and soon after mathematical winner of the title F4 UAE, thanks to the withdrawal of Camara in the subsequent laps of the race and the 20th place of Aiden Neante. A surprise third place for Ivan Domingues.
The last race of the UAE season was again in the hands of Prema Racing, this time with James Wharton, winner and author of a comeback completed in the last part of the race. Second place for Conrad Laursen, another Prema face, third Alex Dunne. A catwalk finish for Charlie Wurz, eighth and officially 2022 Champion.

F.Regional Asian Championship
Arthur Leclerc put the finishing touches on his "Asian Championship", completing the work in Abu Dhabi after arriving at the fifth round as leader of the standings. The Monegasque resolved everything in the first race of the weekend, winning in style with a three-second gap over his teammate Dino Beganovic, to the joy of the Mumbai Falcons Racing Limited colours, with Jak Crawford (Abu Dhabi Racing by Prema) third. Victory and enough points to win the title mathematically, thanks also to the 12th place of Pepe Martì (Pinnacle Motorsport), the only one who could still keep up the fight for the final success.
In the remaining races of the weekend, space was given to the expected protagonists of the 2022 season such as Gabriel Minì. The Italian of Hitech Grand Prix returned to the top step of the podium in Race 2 after a good fight with his friend and rival Dino Beganovic, who was still on the podium. Third place confirmed the state of form for the new Champion, Arthur Leclerc.
Third and final race celebrated with a double by the Hitech Grand Prix men, led by Isack Hadjar victorious and Gabriele Minì in second place. Third position for the Estonian Paul Aron (Abu Dhabi Racing by Prema).
