Anatoly Khavalkin rounded off his season with a top-level weekend at Adria during the Final Cup.
The Russian driver did his best to follow up his great third place in the FIA World Championship at Campillos, ending his 2021 once again at the top of the standings.
On a cold weekend and more than half of it run under artificial lights, Anatoly had started in the best of ways by taking pole position for Group B, second fastest time overall in 49.030.
Immediately after his attack on the stopwatch, the Parolin Racing driver turned his attention to the five direct confrontations between Friday and Saturday.

Khavalkin's run was almost perfect, maximising his starting position to the point where he was able to take five wins out of five available heats, with a devastating race pace. On Sunday, Anatoly continued his great weekend by making good use of his pre-final by recovering after a difficult start and taking the lead and victory with two laps to go, securing pole position for the category final.
In the final 16 laps of the 2021 season, Anatoly battled for the top positions for a long time. Two too many contacts during his final unfortunately prevented him from winning the race, which was well within his grasp after all the weekend's racing. Khavalkin still managed to take the third step of the podium in his last race of this more than positive first season in OKJ.
