The American driver finished the OKJ final with a tenth place and a convincing performance all the weekend.
Kai Sorensen came back once more to Adria to repeat and improve his positive performances seen in Lonato. Kai immediately aimed to have a good qualifying by closing in third position for Group A (49.039).
From the first heat on Friday to the last one on Saturday, Sorensen always remained in the first positions trying to maximise his starting position. Kai's score was good with fifth, seventh, third and fourth places among the best results. Unfortunately, in the penultimate heat, Kai was forced to retire due to a race contact with a driver in the last laps, a detail that forced Kai to start from eighth position for the Pre-final A, which ended in P7.
In the final, after suffering a big delay in the race plan due to the big incident in OK, Kai tried to gain positions by making good overtakes and managed to finish the race in P10 with four improved positions.
Kai Sorensen: "First of all I hope to see the drivers involved in the accident back on track soon. We were hoping for something more for the final result but together with the team we worked very well from the start and for this I thank them very much, thanks also to my mechanic and to GFR for the engines".
