The recent announcement of the RMC Euro Golden Trophy being confirmed in 2021 will give drivers in all six classes a chance to secure their place at the forthcoming Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals in Bahrain, which takes place between December 11th & 18th.
Current RMC Euro Trophy organizers Camp Company will be promoting the event, which will take place at Belgium’s Karting Genk circuit, also known as the “Home of Champions,” between November 4th and 7th this year.
The format will be in the same manner as the Euro Trophy, with qualifying taking place on the Friday afternoon, with Heats on Saturday, before the Finals conclude the weekend on Sunday. The winners in each of the six classes will also be crowned as RMC Euro Golden Trophy champions.
All six classes from the Rotax family will be represented at the fantastic 1,360-metre circuit, which has seen some of motorsport’s best drivers including Jenson Button, Max Verstappen, André Lotterer, Stoffel Vandoorne, and Robin Frijns amongst others, race at this brilliant facility with all the action being live-streamed directly from the Limburg region.
With a prize fund worth over 30,000 Euros, drivers will also be competing for free race weekend entries for the 2022 season, with the dates already confirmed at the Euro Trophy finale at Wackersdorf in September.
“With the RMC Euro Golden Trophy, it will provide us with a great event at Karting Genk, with many great international drivers in Rotax being ready to put on a great show,” explains RMC Euro Trophy organizer Meik Wagner.
“It is always great to see a fantastic atmosphere for everyone, from the drivers to the teams and families, to have such a welcome event at a great circuit. This will not only provide six drivers with a chance to go to Bahrain in December for the RMC Grand Finals, but it gives a chance for those for next year with the race weekend entries.”
Over 80 drivers have already signed up and booked their place on the grid, which looks to be highly subscribed before the event takes place in Belgium.
Drivers can sign up now either via the Rotax Global App on their smartphones, or head to https://www.rotax-ems.com/rmec to secure their places on the grid.
