FIA World Championship KZ/KZ2, heats - Viganò and Trefilov in the lead

- Races
Many twists and turns in the Saturday dedicated to the heats. In KZ Matteo Viganò leads the way, followed by David Trefilov in KZ2. Tomorrow the last available heat before the finals.

There is no World Championship without twists and turns and the one of Kristiastand is proving to be a real thriller show. The programme of direct clashes is almost completed for the KZ and KZ2 classes with one heat per group still to be run tomorrow morning before the showdown.

KZ - Viganò tries again from the first position
Just like a few weeks ago at Adria, Matteo Viganò (Lennox Racing) is the main suspect for the pole position of the final. The Italian driver has found again in Sweden the necessary speed to play at the top levels of the category with two wins out of two already in safe. Viganò will have to hold off Noah Millel (Tony Kart) to secure the lead thanks to the good weekend of the home driver, currently second after a P2 and P3. Completing the virtual podium (on equal points with second place) is a good Lorenzo Camplese, confirming Tony Kart's great potential. The Italian was able to recover intelligently from the eighth position up to the third place. Fourth Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart) and fifth Andrea Kimi Antonelli (KR) pole man yesterday and solid today. Recovery from the tenth place for Paolo Ippolito (CRG) momentarily sixth, behind him Viktor Gustavsson (Lennox Racing) and Fabian Federer (SRP Racing) in seventh and eighth position. Top ten in the hands of Emilien Denner (KR) and Jorrit Pex (SP Racing). Difficult Saturday for the European Champion Riccardo Longhi (Birel Art), disqualification and DNS for Pedro Hiltbrand (Lennox Racing) after a good first heat, ruined by the intentional repositioning of the front spoiler (FIA report). Last heat at 11.55am tomorrow Sunday 5th September.

KZ2 - Trefilov, what a surprise!
Also in KZ2 there have been many surprises up to this point with the first four heats per group completed. David Trefilov (SRP Racing) takes the Saturday title with a great performance after yesterday's good qualifying. Three wins out of four for the German never so regular and now among the favourites for the overall pole position. Saturday from screaming also for Lorenzo Travisanutto (Parolin) literally "transformed" from the podium of Adria and the great feeling with the Swedish track. The Italian has collected three wins out of four heats demonstrating a race pace more than convincing in view of tomorrow, third the Swiss Samuel Luyet (Tony Kart) author of two victories overall. Follow at a safe distance Danilo Albanese (KR) and Giuseppe Palomba (Birel Art) in fourth and fifth position. Weekend suddenly uphill for Giacomo Pollini (NGM Motorsport) and Senna Van Walstijn (CPB) both victims of a forced DNF that currently costs Pollini the P24 and P14 for Van Walstijn. Final heats tomorrow from 10.15am.

The last heats and the finals will be visible in live streaming on fiakarting.com and on the Facebook page "FIA Karting Championship". KZ2 Final at 13.30, KZ Final at 15.35.
