FIA World Championship KZ/KZ2 - Antonelli and Van Walstijn the masters of pole position

- Races
The World Championship weekend started in Sweden with the first official timed sessions. Andrea Kimi Antonelli (KZ) and Senna Van Walstijn (KZ2) took pole position.

The qualifying afternoon at the Asum Ring in Kristianstad was not at all predictable. Overall and group pole positions were assigned to all the expected protagonists of the two gearbox categories.

KZ - Antonelli bis
If the pole position at Adria in the last chapter of the European Championship was worth a "golden debut", the new pole position and this time in the World Championship weekend is worth a confirmation. Fresh from the agreement with Prema for the last races of the Formula 4 season, Andrea Kimi Antonelli (KR) proved to be fully focused on the Swedish weekend by setting again the best overall time of 49.826 putting all the "sacred monsters" of the queen class behind him. A perfect lap that will give Antonelli again the chance to play all the heats starting from the front row, at his side the first of the home drivers Noah Milell (Tony Kart) just +0.002sec behind his rival, an excellent signal in view of tomorrow's battles. Surprisingly third place for the eternal Fabian Federer (SRP Racing) again in the positions of competence and long virtual poleman with only +0.019sec gap from the top. Top five is sanctioned by the Lennox Racing duo, Matteo Viganò and Pedro Hiltbrand, authors of two almost photocopy times. Sixth time in the hands of Adrien Renaudin (Sodikart), seventh the other master of the house Viktor Gustavsson (Lennox Racing), eighth Lorenzo Camplese (Tony Kart), ninth Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart) and tenth the winner of the last race, Paolo Ippolito, first of the CRG drivers.
Qualifying was not easy for the expected top drivers, with Denner (KR) in P11, thirteenth time for Kremers (Birel Art), sixteenth the European Champion Riccardo Longhi (Birel Art), who will have to recover starting tomorrow, and the same for the reigning World Champion Jeremy Iglesias (CRG) in P18.

KZ2 - Van Walstijn tries again
The defeat of Adria is ready to be swept away by a KZ2 International Super Cup as absolute protagonist, this is the mantra of Senna Van Walstijn (CPB) who immediately took the absolute pole position. The Dutchman beats the competition by going under the wall of fifty recording a 49.901 valid as best overall performance. A noteworthy performance not to be underestimated by his rivals and to be maintained with regular and error-free heats for the Dutchman. On the track that proclaimed him World Champion OK, Lorenzo Travisanutto (Parolin) has not disfigured by force taking a second time overall and the pole position for group B (best time 50.123) that allows you to dream big. Top three obtained once again by Danilo Albanese (KR) together with the confirmation of being able to fight for the first positions and the pole position for group C. The weekend also starts well for the reigning European Champion Giacomo Pollini (NGM Motorsport) with the fourth overall time and the pole position in Group D, behind him Samuel Luyet (Tony Kart) in Group E, Giuseppe Palomba (Birel Art) in Group F.

The spectacle of the direct clashes will start tomorrow at 10.15am for KZ2 and 11.55am for KZ. The heats will be visible in streaming on fiakarting.com and on the Facebook page "FIA Karting Championship".
