Press Release by:
Mark Kastelic concluded the second round of the FIA Academy Trophy with a top ten finish at the Adria circuit.

On the hottest weekend of the year in the Italian summer, the Slovenian driver did his best to be more than competitive in the FIA Academy Trophy

After Friday's first free practice, Kastelic together with his mechanic had to work to fix some technical details and find the right set up of his Exprit chassis. Unsatisfactory qualifying for Mark with the fifth position in Group D and a difficult first run on Saturday morning closed in P15.

On Saturday afternoon and also in the last heat on Sunday morning, Mark totally changed the story of his weekend, obtaining two third positions in both heats with seven overtakes in each heat. A show of strength from the Slovenian, one of the most competitive at the Adria circuit. Unfortunately, a penalty took away his third place in the last heat, forcing Mark to have to restart in P27 for the final.

Once again, Kastelic showed everyone his great competitiveness and desire for redemption. A perfect race with eighteen positions recovered during the twenty laps available, useful to finish in P9 and in the top ten of the category.

Mark will soon be on track for the next season commitments with the Forza Racing team.
