On the circuit of Zuera (Spain), the second Champions Of The Future round anticipated the FIA Karting European Championship. Victories for Antonelli and Kutsov.
OK - Antonelli and Lindblad, General Practice
After closing the weekend at Sarno as first and second in the overall classification of the FIA European Championship, the two rivals and brand mates challenge each other again. In the final of Zuera, however, it was Lindblad who immediately took the reins of the race, burning everyone after the start. Antonelli was able to keep his cool and retake the leadership even before halfway through the race, a move that perhaps anticipates what we will see this weekend. Nicolò Cuman took third place amidst applause after winning the pre-final. Top five for Turney and Elkin, stratospheric comeback in the pre-final for Kucharczyk with 28 positions recovered.
OKJ - Kutsov captain of the outsiders
As for the Junior, everything happens in the pre-final with David and Powell in first and second place penalised for the spoiler. Then it was the turn of the Russian driver Kutsov, winner of the pre-final and then leader of the final after becoming aware of his great pace on the Spanish circuit. Unrivalled race ahead of James Egozi and Maksim Orlov in third position. Russia again in fourth place with Popov, fifth Stolcermanis. Only ninth Slater after being forced to make a double comeback from the bottom for the pre-final and the final.
The Champions Of The Future will take place on the 8th of August on the circuit of Castelletto for the grand finale of the season.
