Maciej Gladysz will be on the starting blocks of the FIA Academy Trophy this weekend in Wackersdorf (Germany).
A new experience and a new challenge for the young Polish driver who, in addition to his commitment with his team in the FIA European Karting OKJ Championship and World Championship, will also be among the new protagonists of the special trophy reserved for young rookies. Maciek has been selected by the Polish Federation to represent his country in this competition which, in the past and every year, has always given great battles and launched the careers of very talented drivers.
It will be a no-holds-barred challenge, especially because of the performance level of the OTK equipment, which is the same for all drivers on the Academy Trophy entry list - there will be 51 drivers from 50 different countries. Maciej will have to familiarise himself with the new chassis from the start and try to find the right set-up from the first free practice session in Wackersdorf.
The German track is very technical but above all very fast, characteristics where the driver's work with his mechanic will make the difference in a three-race calendar that will follow the KZ and KZ2 season to win the final victory (Wackersdorf, Adria, Kristianstad).
The weekend will start tomorrow with qualifying from 5.20 pm, between Saturday and Sunday there will be six heats in total before reaching the final on Sunday 20th at 2.30 pm. Live timing and streaming on fiakarting.com
