«20 years ago I met one of the most special people in the world of karting. It was 2001 when I met Paul. Together with his wife and son, they were my family there at that moment for me. I spent two weeks in the home of Paul when I was 18 years old.
It was during my first years in Formula Super A and all was really difficult. I left Italy and went to Genk to improve my feeling with the category and he helped me a lot.
The day was always like this: Paul in the dyno... and me all the day driving around on the old circuit to learn about the category and the big carburettor that we had in Super A. By the end of the year I took my first victory in Kerpen, but that is another story.»
