Death of Jean-Pierre Deschamps, President of ASK Rosny 93

The ASK Rosny 93 is very sad to announce the death of its historical and charismatic President, Jean-Pierre Deschamps, on Saturday 3 April 2021.

Born on 11 April 1946, in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, Jean-Pierre Deschamps was a man of action, committed, who led a professional career as an entrepreneur in an art profession and missions in many different fields. An eclectic and exemplary career, largely dedicated to voluntary work.

Founder and President of the four-time World Champion Rosny 93 go-karting club, Jean-Pierre Deschamps has contributed greatly to the promotion and development of this sport.

He has been involved in the highest authorities of Motorsport as Vice President of the French Motorsport Federation, and has chaired the Ile de France Regional Karting Commission, the FFSA National Karting Commission and the Ile de France Regional Motorsport Committee.

His career has been rewarded with numerous distinctions: Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite (1999), Medal of Youth and Sports (Bronze in 1994, Silver in 2002, Gold in 2005), and Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur (2014).

The thoughts of the members and employees of ASK Rosny 93 are with his wife Marie-Noëlle Deschamps, his children, Alexandre and Raphaël, his grandchildren, as well as all his relatives.

His burial will take place on Friday 9 April at 10.30 am in the Abbey Church of Saint-Maixent l'Ecole, rue de l'Abbaye, in the Deux-Sèvres department, where he had been living since his retirement in 2006.
