Lady Olsson about her 2020 racing season: the year of the back to back.
Mathilda Olsson is the first woman to win 2 titles in a row in the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy.
At the wheel of her Tony Kart of the Strawberry Racing Team, she showed huge improvement. This made her one of the most competitive drivers on track and, of course, one of the favourites for the 2020 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals to be staged in January in Portugal.
We met her to review this peculiar racing season.

«For me the biggest difference this season, compared to the 2019 season, was that the level was much higher. It was definitely harder and we had to fight even more to be European champion in Rotax for the second time in a row».

«The coronavirus had a big impact on everything this season. It was hard to even know if the races would go ahead. But I think everyone on the track took their responsibility so we could make the races, even if it was hard. Also, it was harder to travel and get all the sponsors to stay with me this season».
- What are your plans for the 2021 season?
«My plans for the 2021 season are still open. It depends on Covid-19. I love to do karting but maybe we should take the next step to move to cars».
