FIA Karting World Cup, Portimão - Morgatto and Badoer in pole position

- Races
First results from Portugal during the last qualifying of the season. Matheus Morgatto (OK) and Brando Badoer (OKJ) in absolute pole position.

Under the rain of Portimão, the protagonists of the World Championship OK and OKJ started the first open fight for the title. Difficult track condition to interpret and particularly insidious given the high speeds and the numerous up and down.

OK - Birel Art in front with Morgatto
The Brazilian driver of “Red Army” set the best time overall, despite the track being totally flooded during the first qualifying series. Morgatto finished in 1.11.444, four tenths better than Andrea Kimi Antonelli (KR) in pole position for Group B. Third and fourth place for Tony Kart, Callum Bradshaw and Pedro Hiltbrand, respectively in pole for groups C and D. Morgan Porter (Argenti Motorsport) closes the top five for Group E, second thick positions for Travisanutto (Parolin) in Group B, Barnard (Rosberg Racing), Coluccio (Kosmic) and Van Hoepen (Lennox) in Groups B, C and D.

OKJ - Badoer takes advantage of the track and takes pole position
Brando Badoer (KR) again snatches Friday's titles ahead of the Junior group. The Italian took advantage of the last qualifying session and gradually improved track conditions, scoring 1.12.509 on the time trial. Evan Giltaire (Sodi) also put in a great performance on the water, two tenths from overall pole and ahead in Group B. Third absolute time for the first of the Birel Art drivers, Tymoteusz Kucharczyk and leader of group C, last group pole for Eyckmans (Kosmic), Ho (Sauber) and Gowda (RFM) in gr. D, E, F respectively.
