TILLOTSON T4 WORLD CUP - WhiteRiver Park, Collon (IRL) - 26-27 September 2020

The first world final of the 4-stroke series promoted by Tillotson took place at WhiteRiver Park in Ireland. Unfortunately, the increasingly stringent rules relating to the coronavirus prevented a greater participation by foreign drivers, but the heats were still much fought between the 35 drivers actually present on the track (a challenging 1.2 km track with notable altimetric variations) with all drivers driving identical vehicles powered by the Tillotson TPP-225RS.
In the final, "local boy" Conor McPolin, who grabbed the spotlight throughout the practice sessions, took home the win. Josh Mulholland had to settle for second place: starting from ninth position on the grid didn't do him any favours, and perhaps he deserved more, as made clear by his recording the fastest lap of the race. The podium was completed by Cathal McNally who, on the last lap, bested Colin Smith and Ross McDonald who finished just behind him. Honorable mention to Conor Shanahan, the Red Bull team drifting driver, who was invited for the occasion and managed to finish sixth in his very first kart race.
