The American driver of the Parolin team had a very positive weekend at the Lonato circuit as far as the WSK Euro Series is concerned.
The double weekend of the WSK Euro Series meant a great effort for the American driver, called to face double sessions often very close to each other. In spite of everything, Sorensen was able to face the real race week in an impeccable way, finishing on the podium of the 60 Mini.
During the unusual qualifying sessions on Wednesday, Sorensen had obtained two fourth positions for Group B in both qualifying sessions valid for round 2 and 3 of the competition. During the heats, Sorensen then demonstrated his growth process and great feeling with Parolin by finishing in first position in the first pre-final, won authoritatively ahead of everyone and a second place in the second pre-final valid for round 3.
In the double race on Sunday, Sorensen started his day from the pole position for the first final, managing to keep the leading position and then fighting until the end finishing a good third place and therefore on the podium. Bad luck for Kai in the second race, always fighting for the podium but put out of the game at the last corner of the last lap after a contact with an opponent.
So a convincing and positive weekend for Sorensen who once again proves to be competitive. The American will be back on track immediately over the weekend for the Italian Championship at the Adria circuit.
