Due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, the organizers of the Tillotson T4 World Cup have made some substantial changes.
To begin with, the 2-day event has moved from Jesolo to WhiteRiver Karting (whiteriver.ie) in Collon, Ireland, on a track measuring 1,200 meters, located just north of Dublin. The date, however, remains unchanged: the weekend of 26-27 September, 2020.
Among other modifications, the deadline for registrations is now 20 September, with a maximum of 50 participants, aged +15. The entry fee has dropped slightly, to 900 euros which includes kart rental and two sets of Maxxis T4 tires, while those who will race with their own vehicle pay 350 euros. A reminder: the karts all have the same chassis and the same engine, namely the Tillotson T225RS, a 225 cc single-cylinder 4-stroke with 15 horsepower. Other features include: pull start; specific Tillotson HW carburetor; PVL ignition with limiter at 6,500 rpm; 30 hours of maintenance free operation; engine seals to prevent mods.
The weekend program includes the allocation of vehicles and free practice on Saturday, then qualifying, heats and final on Sunday. In addition to Maxxis, the partners of the event will be Xeramic, Stilo, MIR, IPK, New Line and Veloz. All information on vehicles and the race is available on the official website: www.tillotson.ie/events/t4-world-cup. Information and instructions relating to travel to Ireland and anticovid precautions can be found at: www.gov.ie/en/campaigns/75d92-covid-19-travel-advice.
