Press Release by:
Toni Naudé shined in the Rok Cup Italy round 3.

It was an extremely positive return for Toni Naudé to Rok races. The 14-year-old won Race 2 in the Super Rok category in round 3 of the Rok Cup Italia staged last weekend at South Garda Karting.

In Lonato, the driver, part of the Girls on Track program, running in the event with Domenico Ferrara’s Ferrara Kart team, started the weekend on the right foot, taking 2nd position in the Qualifying Practices. In the Heat, a 3-second penalty due to a non- compliant start relegated Naudé to 7th position.
The Swiss driver, who started from 7th position in Race 1 with the awareness of having to give everything to return to the top positions, was able to recover the 4 positions that belonged to her, finishing in 3rd place.

In Race 2, the Johannesburg native, who started 6th, gained the 2nd position during lap 2, then took the lead during the 6th lap. After fighting for a long time for the victory, she crossed the line in 2nd place, but a decision by the judges - who imposed a penalty on the winner - allowed her to get on the top step of the podium.

Toni Kayla Naudé, Ferrara Kart: «It was a fantastic weekend. The heavy rain on Saturday did not allow me to test all the setups we planned. Sunday was another story. Qualifying was very good and, after a heat spoiled by the penalty, I managed to get back to the top positions. I am really happy with the victory but more so with my consistent performance on race day. I want to thank all the Ferrara Kart staff, my mechanic Antonio, and my father for always being by my side.»
