Regarding the World Motor Sport Council, FIA ​​unifies the new anti-COVID 19 protocol for all its categories.

With the continuous fight against the pandemic always in progress, the International Federation is taking action by unifying the "F1 protocol" to all its categories, obviously including international karting.

As early as the Genk weekend, which will begin in a few days, new regulations will be envisaged that will clearly be extended to the remaining events as well, such as the epilogue of the OK and OKJ European Championship and the KZ / KZ2 and OK / OKJ World Championships.

Under the direction of the President of the FIA ​​Medical Commission, Professor Gérard Saillant, the protocols have been translated into all FIA international championships, cups, trophies and series registered in the international sporting calendar. In conjunction with the resumption of competition for a series of events regulated by the FIA.

The extension includes the same key health measures as the Formula One protocol: mandatory social distancing, PCR pre-test, use of face masks and hand hygiene, with implementation adapted to a smaller organizational structure. Protocols designed to limit the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

Professor Gérard Saillant said: "With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to evolve in characteristics and effects, the FIA, together with local health authorities, is also adapting the measures we have put in place to mitigate the risk of spreading the virus. in a sporting context to allow all FIA sanctioned events to return to racing in the safest possible environment ".

The FIA ​​is the first international sports federation to have resumed its activity at an international level thanks to strict health protocols.
