Maciej Gladysz in the attack mode for the Italian Championship

- Races
The Polish driver of the Parolin team will try to continue his positive streak on the Sarno circuit.

Maciej Gladysz is ready to take off for the second weekend of the Italian ACI 2020 Championship. After the first round in Triscina (Sicily), the Polish driver is well placed in the general classification with fourth place. In the first weekend of the season Gladysz had closed his weekend with second place in qualifying, one heat victory and second place in race 1 among the best results, leaving out the unfortunate retirement in race 2.
With the good performances shown, even in the first part of the year, the Parolin driver will try to take home other important points in Sarno, location of the second stage of the Italian Championship.

- What do you expect from this weekend?
“I came here to fight for victory. My goal in each competition is to fight for the podium, for its highest rank. From Wednesday, with my Parolin Racing Kart team, we train on the track in Sarno to be as well prepared as possible for the second round of the Italian championship. After the first round, we feel unsatisfied, during the weekend competition we want to show our best side in this highly crowded competition ".

- How are you on the Sarno circuit?
“I have competed on this track several times. The thread of the track suits me very well, I just like to compete on it. Most of the time I have always had good results on it, I hope it will be the same this time. We have a well-prepared kart, I am satisfied with its setup and it is going to be a really good competition on the track in Sarno ".

- What do you want to improve compared to Triscina?
“I definitely want to finish in the final races. In Triscina, the competition was going my way, I had a very good pace. After qualifying races, I took second place. In final 1 I was in the lead for most of the distance, then the SLOW was neutralized by an accident of one of my rivals. I was the second at the finish line. On the other hand, in the final No. 2 in the last lap, I made my way to second place, having a chance to fight for the victory. Unfortunately, one of my rivals was braking on my kart, throwing me off the track, and I didn't finish the race. In Sarno I would like to be in the Top 3 in both finals and improve my place in the general classification ".

Sarno weekend will kick off today with official qualifying in the afternoon. The category heats will take place on Saturday 29 August. Sunday 30 August will then be the time of the two final races.
