Sarno bitter for Toni Naudé

Press Release by:
No happy ending for Toni Kayla Naudé in the act 2 of the FIA Karting OK European Championship.

The second round of the FIA Karting OK European Championship did not smile on Toni Kayla Naudé in terms of performance.

The driver chosen by FIA Women In Motorsport for the Girls on Track program was unable to find the right key and pace for the weekend and did not qualify for the Final. The race started its downward trend in qualifying with P15 in her group, a result due to traffic caused by some opponents in the fast lap.

In the heats, despite gaining some places, the high temperatures and in general a sub optimal feeling did not allow her the recovery sufficiently for a position in the final.

Toni Kayla Naudé, Exprit Racing Team: “It was a difficult weekend, from all points of view. The result of the qualifying already hinted that we would have to make leaps and bounds to recover; we did, but it wasn't enough. I'm here to learn and I know that bad weekends are part of my growth as a driver. I have to accept it and try focus on the positives. What happened this week encourages me to give my best to improve and to overcome the problems encountered.”

Naudé will be back on track this weekend in Lonato for the 3rd round of the Rok Cup Italy.
