Weekend of comebacks for Naudé in Zuera

Press Release by:
Good performances for Toni Kayla Naudé in Zuera.

It was a very intense weekend for Toni Naudé in the first round of the FIA Karting OK European Championship.

The Swiss driver was the protagonist of a completely different weekend compared to the RGMMC Champions of the Future event, where she seemed in difficulty. This time, the driver who is part of the Girls on Track program by FIA Women in Motorsport, showed an entirely different pace, and access to the Final was very close.

After attaining the 59th qualifying position, Naudé reversed the trend in the heats where, in the four clashes disputed, she recovered 29 positions. This allowed her to finish the heats in 41st place, with an improvement of 18 positions compared to the Qualifying Practices.

Only 6 penalty points denied the 14-year-old from qualifying for the Final; a notable improvement over two weeks ago.

Toni Kayla Naudé, Exprit Racing Team: “It's been a positive weekend compared to round 1 of the RGMMC Champions of the Future. The improvements were evident, not only in terms of ranking but also with regards to driving and the approach to the race. The qualification for the Final is getting closer; we'll try again in Sarno.”

Toni Naudé will be back on track for the 2nd round of the FIA Karting European Championship scheduled in 2 weeks at the Circuito Internazionale Napoli.
