A week after the start of the European Championship in Zuera, here are the words of Day.
- Jamie, you managed to win the first race in Zuera. How are you found on the Spanish track? Do you think you will be competitive next week too?
«I find the track very fast and flowing with many overtaking opportunities. yes I believe that we will be just as competitive as last week and will be aiming for another win!»
- What does it mean for you to run in the colors of Charles Leclerc?
«Running under the Charles leclerc team gives me many opportunities to work with top people in the sport including Jordon Lennox, Franco Drudi and Ronni Sala . Carrying Charles name gives me an additional incentive to succeed shown his karting and formula career so far».
- What training did you do during the lockout period?
«During the break I was back in Dubai where I spent a lot of time doing sim racing, which kept me sharp and ready, and training my body for the restart of the season. Whilst in the gym I spent a lot of time concentrating on core and upper body strength also swimming for my cardiovascular exercises».
- What is your goal for 2020? You were very fast last year for example in Sweden and not only
«For the rest of the 2020 season we want to build upon our success after the victory in zuera and the second place in Adria. As we have shown our pace in many races now we have won our first race we will be pushing for the European and world title. Also having a teammate like Ollie Gray who is also very fast this is helping push me even further and expect between us we will both get many podiums this year».
