Toni Naudé leaves the Circuito Internazionale di Napoli, where she competed in the first round of the WSK Euro Series last weekend, with the glass half full.

The young Swiss driver, who was selected by FIA Women in Motorsport as part of the Rising Stars program this year, missed out on accessing the Final by just one position, having finished 18th, only a few tenths from the last valid position for the qualification.

Although she was only in her second race in OK Senior, one of the most competitive karting categories and, above all, she had not participated in any competitions since the beginning of February, Naudé was, however, the protagonist of a weekend in crescendo.

After setting the 20th fastest time in her qualifying group, the driver of the Exprit Factory Team improved in the 4 heats, in which she had always hovered around P15. In Pre-final A, the young driver started with a clear goal: qualifying, which, alas, faded in the last few laps after a very positive start to the race.

Toni Kayla Naudé, Exprit Racing Team: “It was a positive weekend. My goal was to check mental and physical strength, and I can say that I fully centered both targets, despite the great heat. With the team we've improved step by step without hindrance. I'm convinced that we're going in the right direction. This week I'll be back in the race for the Champions of the Future in Zuera, valid as pre-race of the FIA Karting European Championship round 1.”

Toni Naudé thanks the staff of the Exprit team and, especially, Domenico Ferrara for the work done and the professionalism shown throughout the weekend.
