The first round of the WSK Euro Series was Maxim Rehm's first time on the famous Circuito Internazionale di Napoli.
The German driver closed the event in 18th position, up 11 positions from his starting position. Rehm, flanked by Riccardo Negro, has become the protagonist of an extremely positive upward path of development and growth.
His weekend started with 12th place in Qualifying Group 2, however, a series of low-key heats seemed to jeopardize his qualification for the Final. To sweep away Saturday's opaque pace was his performance in the Prefinal, which guaranteed him access to the Final.
Maxim Rehm, Tony Kart Racing Team: «It was a very complex weekend, due to the heat and the fact that I had never raced on this track. Thanks to the help of the team, I managed session after session to get closer to the times of those ahead, who had much more experience here than I did. The performance in the Final was the summary of the growth path that we've put in place.»
Rehm is already in Spain to compete in the first round of the RGMMC Champions of the Future, scheduled for this weekend in Zuera.
