The recent storms have slowed down the finishing operations of the new Brescia kart track, which must postpone the inauguration until July. (M.v.)
The public opening of the Franciacorta Karting Track, the new 1,300-meter circuit that rises in Castrezzato, just west of Brescia, is just a little away. Unfortunately, the recent and continuous storms that hit Northern Italy have considerably slowed down the finishing works of the plant. After finishing the asphalting (of which we have already written) it was a question of finishing the paving of the paddock, of drawing the starting grid and other detailed operations which, however, were hampered by downpours (when not real "bomb bombs" water"). In addition to all this, some last minute requests were added during the track homologation phase, such as the addition of some curbs.

For all these reasons the date of the planned opening of the kart track has slightly shifted: at the moment the official inauguration is set for Saturday 11 July. In the meantime, however, we continue with the rest, such as the organization of the official website www.franciacortakartingtrack.com where it is possible to consult the general track rules as well as the protocols to follow to attend the plant in this post-coronavirus "phase 2". Forms are also available (which can also be filled in online) such as releases, authorizations for minors and reservations for motorcycles and karts. The managers of the track have however already informed us that access will not be limited only to licensed kart drivers, even if possession of the federal card is recommended for insurance reasons. To contact the track directly: info@franciacortakartingtrack.com, tel. +39 030 7040677.
