The good results in the test sessions convinced Stan Pex to extend Tom Braeken's 2020 sport plan.
The beginning of “Phase 2” for motorsport coincided with the announcement of a completely revised race plan for Tom Braeken, which greatly increased the commitments of his 2020.
The good results of the tests carried out between Genk, Kerpen and Adria, in fact, convinced the SP Motorsport Team Manager, Stan Pex, to field Braeken also in the WSK Promotion races and in the prestigious FIA Karting competitions, the European OKJ and the World Championship.
These events will add to the already confirmed DKM and to the Rotax races, the number of which has however been reduced on the basis of the concomitance with international races. The Belgian will also represent Belgium in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy.
Braeken will race with Kart Republic chassis and TM Racing engines, and will have the task of bringing SP Motorsport to the debut in the WSK and FIA Karting competitions.
Tom Braeken, SP Motorsport: “It's a real honor for me to have received such an important call from Stan. Nobody knows me better than him in terms of driving, therefore, the fact that he considers me ready for these races motivates me to do my best even more.”
For Braeken, therefore, there is a "return" to the WSK races, after he had already raced in 60 Mini; a return that will take place shortly, starting July 29, at the Adria Karting Raceway where he will compete in the double round of the WSK Super Master Series. At his side, as a mechanic, the expert Hernan Chiaramello.
