Covid-19 emergency, the team's point of view: Ricky Flynn Motorsport

- Interview
With the total blockade now extended globally, the Corona Virus problem makes us think about what the future will be.

As we have already said in previous articles, it is difficult nowadays to define the timing of recovery for sport and especially the modalities. The kart paddock therefore questions what decisions will be made by a Federation that, according to Jean Todt, still does not know what will happen.

Delaying the start of the season, changing locations for some races was the first official choice for the international season, assuming that it can resume in the shortest possible period.

To take stock of the situation, we compared one of the most successful and influential team managers in the paddock with Ricky Flynn of the homonymous Ricky Flynn Motorsport. The British remains positive on the recovery but not on any methods that will certainly be thought of at the table.

- In your team, how are you facing this race block?
We are all ready to be able to resume and wait for the go-head to go away to at least start the tests again.

- Do you think we could return to running internationally soon?
I really hope we can start again in May or at least June. If so, we should be able to complete all races and championships by the end of the year.

- In your opinion, deciding to run behind closed doors, will it be necessary to limit the team staff to reduce the crowd?
Racing behind closed doors would not be a problem since Karting never performs in front of large crowds (like F1 / football). It would be impossible to limit the staff since team members always have a role and a task that must perform within the team during a race weekend.
