The FIA president, Jean Todt, has launched his message of solidarity and support following the continuous COVID-19 emergency also in the world of sport.
As we all know, returning to feel engines, the smell of gasoline and burnt rubber, currently seems a distant memory. The emergence of the Coronavirus has stopped the whole world including the sports one.
All disciplines have been stopped in their calendars with postponements or cancellations, just think of the 8 F1 races currently rescheduled or canceled.
Also the world of karting has obviously undergone variations at national and international level with the FIA European Championship postponed from May onwards, except for further slippages.

In this regard, the FIA President, Jean Todt, wanted to express his closeness to fans and to all those who are fighting on the front lines.
"While the world is going through this historic pandemic, I want to tell you how close I am to all of you. As you know, the situation is critical and constantly changing. The protection of people must be the priority. I want to express my support and solidarity to all citizens and all those who contribute to motorsport and mobility. As you know we have had to cancel or postpone many events in the coming weeks and currently it is not clear when we could return to normal life. It is our shared responsibility to take all the necessary safety measures and I urge you to follow all the safety rules of the WHO and those of your national government. Only our individual discipline will allow us to overcome this virus. Together we will do it. "
