Anatoly Khavalkin fighting in the Super Master Series in Lonato

- Races
After having performed well in the year's first events, the Russian Anatoly Khavalkin has made himself the talk of the track even this past weekend in Lonato.

The driver had started the qualifying session on Friday with some difficulties, however, he placed himself in third position for group C. A good starting position that allowed the Parolin driver to focus on the comeback heat after heat. With a fifth, a third, a thirteenth, a fourth and a second place, Khavalkin managed to recover positions by closing in fifth place for the start of pre-final B.

The same pre-final on Sunday gave Khavalink the performance he had expected from the whole weekend by gaining three positions and finishing in second place overall, valid for the second starting row of the Final in 60 Mini.

In the last race of the weekend, however, luck did not smile on the young Russian who, after a good start, was recovering positions thanks to overtakes when during the first laps, while looking to fight for the podium, he was involved in an off-track and subsequent spin. The crash did not cause any kind of damage but, in fact, forced Khavalkin to close in 26th position. However, the final result does not cancel the good performances collected by the Russian driver, fighting for the 2020 Champion title with 101 total points and third place in the general classification.
