Tom Braeken showed good skills under the rain at the Karting Genk: The Home of Champions.
Positive balance for Tom Braeken in the last act of the Dutch Championship Chrono, which took place last weekend in Genk.
With the help of KR official mechanic Hernan Chiaramello, Braeken drove well in the rain, impressing even Chiaramello with his skills on the wet track.
His weekend started out with the 4th position in Qualifying Practices. A bad start forced him to make a big comeback in the Heat, in which he ended 13th, despite a front fairing penalty.
In the Final, thanks to many overtakes, Braeken ended 5th with the 3rd fastest lap in the rain.
Tom Braeken, SP Motorsport: «It’s been a hard weekend on the weather side, but I’m very happy not only for the results but also for the improvement on wet driving and confidence with my kart. It’s been a long racing year that ended with very positive vibes. I’m now focusing on winter training for my first full year in Junior.»
Tom will now focus his attention to the winter training to arrive well prepared in 2020.
