FIA World Lonato, KZ / KZ2 / Academy - Qualifications

On the Italian circuit, first verdicts from the track after the official qualifying disputed today. In KZ pole position for Adrien Renaudin, Denner for KZ2, last pole for Siksnelis in the Academy Trophy.

KZ - Renaudin immediately at the top
After the numerous free practices of the previous days, the time trial finally gave the first verdict of the 2019 World Championship. With the best time of 46.104 the absolute pole position went to Adrien Renaudin (Sodikart), immediately on pace and ready to stay ahead in tomorrow's heats. Second position and pole of group B for Alex Irlando (Birel Art) behind by a gap of +0.047sec from the first. Third position attributed to the second Birel, namely Marijn Kremers with the best time of 46.244, best of the group C. Top five and last group pole by Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart), fifth Mirko Torsellini (KR). Viganò and Longhi were further behind in sixth and seventh place, Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart) tenth. Second place in group D for Celenta, fifth Forè in group A.

KZ2 - Denner vs Pollini
Tight Fight in KZ2 with 7 pole positions for the 7 groups. Best absolute time recorded by the excellent Emilien Denner (CPB) in 48.185. A lap that is the pole for the group A in front of the first of the Italians, i.e., Giacomo Pollini (NGM Motorsport) in pole for group B, behind by +0.052sec of gap. Remaining pole positions for the new European Champion, Emil Skaras (Energy), third overall, Senna Van Walstijn (KR) and David Vidales (Tony Kart) respectively on pole for groups C, D and E. Last two poles for Michele Fontana (CKR) and Danilo Albanese (Tony Kart) for group F and G. Of note, the second place of Piccini (Tony Kart) in group D, third position of Cunati (Modena Kart) in group B.

Academy - Siksnels the fastest
Last qualification of the 2019 FIA Academy Trophy season attributed to Kakus Siksnelis in 50.133. Behind the third placed driver in the OKJ World Championship, the remaining pole positions for Christian Ho, Max Doods, and Jacob Douglas from group B to group D. Second position for De Haan in group A, third Ferrari in group B.

Appointment tomorrow with the first part of the official heats starting from the morning.
