The CIK World Championship is underway at the Mika Salo Circuit.
Gabriele Minì (Parolin) and Nikita Bedrin (Tonykart) set pole position in the FIA Karting World Championship of Alaharma. Today at the Mika Salo Circuit the qualifications of OK and OKJ took place, thus assigning the positions for tomorrow's heats.
OK - Minì picks up where he left off at Le Mans
In Finland, same tune for Minì, who took the best time in qualifying for the OK World Championship. The Sicilian was 7 thousandth faster than Juho Valtanen (Kohtala), who will start on pole in group B. Group C, on the other hand, sees Josh Dufek (Sauber Karting) in the lead, while in groups D, E and F the polemen are Nikola Pirttilahti (CV Performance), Kirill Smal (Ward Racing) and Ben Dörr (TB Racing). In P13, European champion Lorenzo Travisanutto (CV Performance), while Dexter Patterson is 31st.
OKJ - Bedrin takes pole of World
The Alaharma track issued its first verdicts with the afternoon's official qualifications. With the best time of 44.824, Nikita Bedrin (Tony Kart) takes the headlines for Friday and sets the agenda for tomorrow's heats, the real key moment of the whole weekend. Behind the Russian, of note the second and third place of Rafael Camara and Martì Sobrepera with less than a tenth gap from the pole.
The remaining top positions assigned to Thomas Ten Brinke for group D, Andrea Kimi Antonelli for group E, the last two pole positions of the group in the hands of Lindblad and Van Hoepen, respectively in front of groups F and G. Of note, the good performances of Cristian Bertuca in the absolute top ten and second in group C.
Headlights aimed at the intense day tomorrow where the rain could cause an upset with the engines starting at 09.45 for the OKJ and from 10.45 for the OK (+1h compared to Italy).
