Press Release by:
Remarkable pace for Gilles Stadsbader in Genk at the Iame Benelux round 4.

On his first season with the X30 engine, Gilles Stadsbader takes 8th place in the Genk round of Iame Benelux.

Despite having little experience with the X30 Senior engine, what with the Belgian's 2019 racing plan being centered on the CIK FIA and WSK Promotion OK competitions, the “loan” driver to the Daems Racing team performed indeed well.

Always close to the top positions, as Stadsbader finished 3rd in qualifying and in the top 5 at the peak of the heats, a technical bet that proved to be a non-winner then complicated his race and the young driver finished in P8 despite struggling with the sagacity that always sets him apart.

Gilles Stadsbader, Daems Racing: "It was a tough weekend, as I only had a few days of testing to get used to the engine of the category, but it was in any case very profitable. In the final we made a big technical bet that didn't pay off. In hindsight it's easy to say that it would have been better to do otherwise but, if it had worked, we'd be talking about something else. I want to thank Jan and all of Daems' entourage for the efforts and the support they offered me."

A non-stop August for Stadsbader, who is already at the Mika Salo Circuit to prepare the FIA Karting OK World Championship scheduled for September 8th.
