Manetti Motorsport concludes the third weekend of the Italian ACI Championship on the Sarno track.
Back on track in southern Italy, Manetti Motorsport competed in KZ2 with Francesco Pizzi and in 60 Mini with Kaloyan Varbitzaliev.
The Italian continued his KZ2 season on a track close to home. During official qualifying, Francesco Pizzi closed in 11th place, struggling during the heats but still achieving a 20th starting position for the first final.
On Sunday's races, Francesco Pizzi managed to recover well in the first race, finishing with a good 14th position, but bad luck struck in the second race and forced him to retire.
In 60 Mini Kaloyan Varbitzaliev had a positive weekend, showing ongoing growth in the series. After the 17th qualifying time, Varbitzaliev fought to close just a step away from direct qualifying. Thanks to an excellent run in the repechage race, won by the young driver after a good and proper battle, Varbitzaliev managed to qualify for the finals.
In the first race, the Hungarian obtained a 25th place overall, but had some difficulty in race 2 with the final P32.
