After the forced stop due to school exams, last week Gilles Stadsbader returned to the track at Adria for the last round of the WSK Euro Series.
The race held at night, however, reserved few joys for the Belgian who, thanks only to a great performance in the Final, managed to revive an otherwise hardly satisfying weekend.
In qualifying Stadsbader ended up on the dirt due to the exit of another driver and this forced him to make a comeback in a series of heats. Having to take risks, however, did not help him and so, due to two retirements, he had to start again from the bottom of the grid for the Prefinal.
A contact in the last stages of the Prefinal pushed him back and urged recovery in the Final where, without incident, he managed to gain to the 19th place.
Gilles Stadsbader, Forza Racing (Exprit/TM): «It was a very complex weekend. I struggled to find the right pace and a bit of bad luck prevented me from expressing myself 100%. It was however an important weekend to regain confidence with the vehicle in view of the upcoming engagements.»
This weekend Stadsbader will be busy at Le Mans for the FFSA French Championship round in preparation for the last FIA Karting European round scheduled in two weekends.
