Pedro Hiltbrand and Maceo Capietto are the first polemen of the FIA Karting European Championship 2019.

In Angerville the first qualifications of the FIA Karting European Championship 2019 were staged, which in the Angerville round saw the pole positions of Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG) and Maceo Capietto (KR).

OK - The "bull" Hiltbrand sees red!

With a time of 48.795 Pedro Hiltbrand secured the pole position for Group A in the first round of the FIA Karting European Championship. Behind by 12 hundredths was Dexter Patterson (Sauber), followed by Juho Valtanen (Kohtala) and Taylor Barnard (Rosberg Racing). 5th and 6th best time for Gabriele Minì (Parolin) and Matheus Morgatto (Tony Kart). These are the drivers who will start in pole position in the 6 qualifying groups.

Further back, time-wise, Lorenzo Travisanutto (CV Performance), 19th overall and 4th in group A, and Hannes Janker 50th and 9th group B.

OKJ - Capietto runs ahead at home

In the first qualifying of the year, Maceo Capietto (KR) flies ahead of the home crowd with the best overall time of 50.778. The French driver amazes the competition, also strong in the feeling with the home track.

In second place, pole man for group B, James Wharton brings Ricky Flynn high, only + 0.007sec of difference from the best absolute performance. Alexander Dunne (Tony Kart) completes the top three in the category with the third pole position assigned, fourth and fifth place for Taponen (Kohtala Sports) and Severiukhin (Ward Racing), respectively in front of everyone in group D and E. Closes with the last lead time Jamie Day (Lennox Racing), leader of the group D.

The Angerville program will continue tomorrow with the category heats for both categories present.
