The FFSA Coupe de France Angerville weekend saw many of the upcoming FIA European Championship drivers battle and experience the new track.
Spain's Maya Weug, official driver of the Richard Mille Academy program, completed a very positive weekend in France.
After the numerous free practice sessions, the qualifications of Angerville saw Maya Weug in P20 overall and tenth of group B. A result that allowed her to fight in Saturday's qualifying heats.
Maya Wueg then managed to finish the three heats with a ninth, a thirteenth and a fourteenth place, valid for P21 overall of the Senior Category, useful for the direct qualification to the final phase of the first round of the Coupe de France.
In the pre-final on Sunday morning, the Spanish driver recovered several positions and managed to finish in P18 overall. In the category finals, Maya Weug drove hard, made her way through the field, and ran in P5 for most of the race, then finished with an excellent P7 past the checkered flag.

A positive weekend for the Spanish driver who at the end of the weekend said:
“First of all, I want to thank the Richard Mille Young Talent Academy, Birel Art, All Road Management and the FIA Women in motorsport and Machac for the engines. It was quite a difficult racing weekend. Qualifying wasn't very good so I had to start my heats in p14 and managed to make up some positions in each heat, going faster every time. The pre-final was very tricky as it was a drying track. We gambled to go on slicks but halfway it started raining again so I finished in p18. In the final I had a very good start and we were pretty fast. I was running in fifth until in the last few laps I lost two places. Overall, I'm very happy with this weekend. The track is very technical and quite tight. I think it's very fun to race on. The goal is always to fight for the podium. It will be very tough as I am racing the best drivers and teams in the world that want to do the same.”
