As OTK branded teams descended on the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida for the opening round of the ROK Cup Promotions Florida Winter Tour, success was on the horizon for the most popular karting brand in North America. With several teams housing 55% of all drivers in attendance, OTK teams and drivers secured seven race wins and twelve podium results in a weekend that housed more than 225 entries.
"We have obviously made a big push in the Mini and Micro divisions and our hard work is paying off with our recent results," expressed OTK USA's Luis Rubial. "Our success has continued in both the Junior and Senior categories, and we feel that we have a winning chassis across the board. 2019 has started great and we look forward to pushing onwards and upwards throughout the season."
With seven main event victories, OTK dominated the Mini and Junior classes by taking all four race wins. JC Karting's Beckham Jacir claimed the race win aboard his FA Kart in Micro ROK while Kai Sorensen dominated the Mini ROK category sweeping the weekend on his Tony Kart. Speed Concepts Racing Luca Mars garnered the ROK Junior checkered flag with Chloe Chambers, competing out of the Mike Doty Racing camp aboard a Kosmic chassis, stood atop the podium blocks in the 100cc Junior class.
Orsolon Racing has been a force in the Senior and Masters categories throughout 2019 and it was no different on the temporary circuit in Miami. Tony Kart drivers Christian Brooks and Renato Jadar each scored race wins in ROK Senior and ROK Masters and currently lead the championship point standings at the Florida Winter Tour.
Rolison Performance Group, a leading racing team on the West Coast and throughout the United States, added another race win to their growing results resume as they were able to elevate Victor Jimenez to the top of the ROK Shifter Masters category.
Rubial continued, "We would like to thank all of our OTK dealers, drivers, as well as their families, for their support in the ROK Cup USA program and the Florida Winter Tour. Without them, we would not have the success that we have, so thank you!"
As the winter karting season continues on, interested drivers looking to compete with the most popular kart brand in the world are asked to contact your local OTK Kart dealer. See how you can join the winning team!
