“Drivers scattered amongst PSL Karting and BirelART dealer network of teams”
Kicking off the 2019 karting season, PSL Karting and BirelART head to the Sunshine State to take part in the opening weekend of the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Winter Series. With fourteen talented drivers competing across three dealer race teams, the Red Army will be looking for success at the tricky AMR Motorplex in Homestead, Florida.
“We have drivers from four countries competing throughout seven available classes,” explained PSL Karting’s Dominic Labrecque. “A huge thanks to Andersen Karting, Prime Powerteam and Rysa Racing for supplying more than half of the BirelART contingent. They are the true reflection of the strong dealer network that we have and thank and congratulate them for their efforts.”
Three PSL Karting branded drivers will enter the X30 Senior ranks as Canadian Thomas Nepveu will be joined by Brazilian Arthur Leist and Italian pilot Emilio Cipriani. Andersen Karting’s Kai Palomino will make a stout quartet in the headline single speed class. Mac Clark will lead the way in the X30 Junior ranks as his Prime Powerteam entry will run alongside Andersen Karting entries of Michael Mallardi and Hayden Bradley.
PSL Karting newcomer Mathias Ramirez will be one to watch in Pro Shifter as he returns to the BirelART product line in the hopes of continued race wins and championships. Ramirez will be joined by Prime Powerteam’s Randy Tang in the Pro Shifter ranks, while multi-time race winner Jordan Musser will enter his name in the mix in Masters Shifter.
The Micro and Mini Swift categories always feature some of the closest and best racing of the weekend and the expectations are the same for this event. Jackson Pearsall will fly the PSL Karting colors in Micro Swift as he runs alongside Andersen Karting entrant Dominik Billings. Caleb Gafrarar will lead the way in the Mini Swift ranks as he and Cole Newton aim for the top step of the podium. Hunter Fox will be the lone BirelART entrant in the LO206 division as he looks to put the BirelART chassis at the front of the field in the lower horsepower division.
Labrecque continued, “The winter months are always the busiest of the season as we spend little time at home and a lot of time in Florida. With the goal of race wins, championships and podium results, I am confident in both our drivers and dealers that we have the people and products to get the job done.”
Practice for the Superkarts! USA Winter Series will continue today with wheel-to-wheel action commencing on both Saturday and Sunday.
