IAME Euro Series 2018, Kimber: «I am happy with the result, now I’m ready for the International Final»

- Races
At the end of the last stage in Castelletto di Branduzzo, Mark Kimber is the new IAME X30 Senior European Champion.

Thanks to the excellent fifth place achieved in the Italian weekend, the British driver won the series with 255 points and two wins in France and Germany.

Below, Mark Kimber, talks about his season.

- Mark, tell us about the season
«The season for me was very up and down we started the season in Salbris with two wins but after a lack of testing in Mariembourg due to exams we struggled with the speed luckily for me the last two tracks had been strong for me in previous years and I got a 2nd and 1st in Wackersdorf. Coming into Casteletto I knew all I needed was to finish close to my championship rivals and managed that successfully after a tricky final where we were very quick in dry conditions but it started raining on dry tyres».

- What is your best moment this year?
«The best moment for me was winning both finals in Salbris as this was the perfect start to the season and the weekend could not have gone better».

- Are you happy with your result? And what is your goal for the rest of 2018?
«I am happy with the result and my goal for the rest of the year is to prepare for the International final in Le Mans where last year I qualified 2nd for the pre final but had some bad luck in the races».
