The new MOJO D5 tires have already proven their on-track worth during the first act of the Belgian Rotax MAX Challenge.
Among the 2018 innovations of the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy, the new MOJO D5, which will equip the MAX, DD2 and DD2 Master classes, is certainly worth mentioning.
As we had already anticipated in a previous article (read here), for the current season the D5 will be only be used in some national series, in addition to the European, namely the BNL Karting Series, RMC Austria, RMC Belgium, RMC Germany, RMC Italy, RMC Netherlands and RMC Sweden.

The drivers' impressions? A big thumbs up on all fronts, especially after the first round of the Belgian Rotax MAX Challenge on the Genk kart track.
A word from the winner in the MAX in Genk, Lars van Vark: "The first round of the BMC was a great weekend for me ... I was also really impressed by the new MOJO D5 tire. The speed and the durability is really impressive. I managed lap times at Genk that I have never driven before. So, Mojo did a really good job."
Positive feedback also from Rick Dreezen, a big name in karting of the last decade: «I tried them a few weeks ago and I was really impressed. I agree with the other drivers when they say that these tires are really excellent and allow them to give their best. The stopwatch also confirms this. What to say? A great start."
Peter Oelsinger, vice-president of Rotax Propulsion Systems and Finance, explained the choice to limit the use of the D5 to only some markets for 2018: "The introduction of the latest MOJO D5 tires to specific markets in 2018 is what we believe to be one of the key factors for the future success of Rotax racing. Whilst some may argue of another change, our aim is to provide a premium product to our customers."
The MOJO D5, therefore, have been well received by the drivers. Now another important test awaits them: the first round of the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy scheduled in Genk on the weekend of 22 April.
