Anthony Abbasse said he was satisfied with the result of his Winter Cup.
The Sodi factory driver ended the weekend in 2nd position just a short breath away from Ben Hanley (Drago / TM) in a final in which neither of the two gave up a single millimeter to the other. The 22 laps that decreed the winner took place in extremely difficult track conditions since, after the rainfall from Saturday afternoon to early Sunday morning, there was only one dry racing line to be taken, a fact that would convince Abbasse not to take unnecessary risks.
"I'm very happy for the weekend," commented Abbasse in the Sodi tent during the post race. "With so many drivers it was really difficult and the slightest mistake could have caused exclusion from the final phase."
"Obviously we wanted to win, but it's the beginning of the season and this is fine. I also think the new chassis is already very good. Obviously there is still time before the World Cup, so there are still margins for improvement," he concluded.
