Frankfurt on the Main. All set for the DKM season 2018.
The German Kart Championship promises a lot of excitement in the new year as well. In addition to racing weekends on the best tracks of Germany, the Championship is also going to take place in Italy (kick-off event) and in Belgian Genk for the big finale. Everyone who wants to be a part of it can access the online registration on the DKM website from January 26th 2018 on.
Stagnation is regression – the people responsible for the German Kart Championship know this. The DKM racing calendar for the 2018 season was presented early on. While the highest German kart grade series travelled to Wackersdorf twice last year, the drivers and tams can look forward to a balanced calendar this new season.
The kick-off is going to take place where last season ended – on the South Garda Circuit in Lonato. The next stop is going to be the Prokart Raceland Wackersdorf, before the half-time decisions are going to be achieved on the Schweppermannring in Ampfing. The drivers of the four grade series DKM, DJKM, DSKM and DSKC are then going to travel to Kerpen and finally to Belgian Genk for the big finale. After a year-long break, the German Kart Championship is going to return to the popular track at the border triangle for the title decisions.
The DKM continues with their regulations: All classes are going to start with Vega-tires again. Additionally, the DKM is going to provide an extensive race-control and 16 hours of live-images every racing weekend again as well as an extensive sponsoring program.
For the first time, the German Electric Kart Championship (DEKM) is going to take place within the framework of the DKM in 2018. The first all electric kart championship is a milestone regarding the development of kart racing towards more sustainability and innovation. Despite a fifth racing series, the DKM still values continuity. Nothing is going to change regarding the course of the events and the driving times for the four grade series DKM, DJKM, DSKM and DSKC.
The online registration is new for the DKM season 2018. At www.kart-dm.de, all interested drivers can directly register themselves. Everyone who submits their registration forms until March 1st 2018 has to pay a participation fee of 2.500€ for the complete DKM, DJKM and DSKM season; only 2.200€ have to be paid for the DSKC. Registrations entered after March 1st 2018 have to pay an extra 300€ late-fee per DMSB-grade series. The environmental- and disposal-charge is included in the participation fee from 2018 on.
Lots of information regarding the DKM can be accessed by visitors of the International Kart Fair taking place from January 27th – 28th 2018 in Offenbach on the Main. The German Motorsports Foundation (DMSB) can be visited in hall 1 – stall 14.
