CIK-FIA World OK Championship - Final

- FIA Karting World Champhionship
The rookie Danny Keirle triumphs at PFI and takes home the biggest title at his first race in CIK-FIA competition! David Vidales and Juho Valtanen round out the podium.

Denny Keirle (Zanardi-Parilla) wins a flag-to-flag race, leaving no possibilities to his rivals. A domination that started on Saturday winning all heat except one in which he arrived in second position. Not that bad for a rookie! Infact, this was the first CIK-FIA sanctionated competition for the Englishman.

The key episode happens right before the start when Pedro Hiltbrand (Tony Kart-Vortex), who started on P2, looks at the top of his Vortex engine and misses the start. Two laps later the reigning world champion is forced to retire because of a problem to the valve of his engine.

With Hiltbrand in the pit, Esteban Muth (Zanardi-Parilla) starts chasing the leader followed by Juho Valtanen (Kosmic-Vortex) and the Spaniard David Vidales (Tony Kart-Vortex).

On lap seven Vidales overtakes Valtanen, but the Chiesa Corse's duo at the front are uncatchable and they cross the finish line in this order. In the park fermè Muth looks at his dislodged front bumper and steps on the podium knowing that he will be penalized. Vidales passes in second position, vice-world champion for the second year in a row, and Valtanen grabs the third position.
