CIK-FIA World KZ Championship – Final

- Races
Paolo De Conto defends his world title from Anthony Abbasse, who finishes second for the second year in a row. Third place for a brilliant Ben Hanley.

It may seem like that in a year nothing has happened: Paolo De Conto (CRG-TM) wins on Anthony Abbasse (Sodikart-TM), but the situation changed drastically because this year Abbasse was really fast and De Conto had to push himself and his Road Rebel to the limit to hold the lead of the race.

Jeremy Iglesias (Formula K-TM) starts well from P2 and Patrik Hajek (Kosmic-Vortex) follows him, with Abbasse, De Conto and Simo Puhakka (Kosmic-Vortex) behind them. It tooks only 2 laps for Abbasse to take the head of the race, thanks to a contact between Hajek and Iglesias: race finished for the Czech, while the Frenchman slips back.

From that moment De Conto starts chasing Abbasse who makes a little mistake on lap 7 and the Italian grabs the lead. Abbasse doesn’t give up and breathes on De Conto’s neck for all the remaining 19 laps, but in the end he doesn’t have the right opportunity to overtake the reigning world champion.

Amazing race for Ben Hanley (MadCroc-TM) who finishes on the podium starting from the thirdteenth place.
