CIK-FIA European Championship, Kristianstad– KZ2 final

- FIA Karting European Champhionship
Adrien Renaudin wins a crazy race ahead Brazilian Gaetano Di Mauro and Martijn van Leeuven.

After the OK Junior final, a downpour hit the circuit when drivers were on the grid with slick tyres. Everybody knows what was going to happen…

Drivers slip immediately after the start and the Frenchman Adrien Renaudin (Sodikart-TM) takes the head of the race and pulls away: in just five laps he has more than 10 seconds of advantage over the runner up. In the meanwhile behind his shoulders everything could happen: Gaetano Di Mauro (CRG-TM) and Martijn van Leeuven (Energy-TM) fight for the second position, but in the end the Brazilian wins the battle.

At the end of an unpredictable race where title contenders are out (Viganò, Irlando and Leuillet took the blue-red flag and were forced to retire) Leon Köhler (Tony Kart-Vortex) finishes the race and, despite the penalty for the dislodged front bumper, wins the KZ2 title at his first season in international karting.
